Project Description
The Shewula Mountain Camp is the first community eco-tourism project in The Kingdom of Eswatini.The camp is fully owned and run by the community, meaning that all profits are shared by the community in an effort to continually develop and improve this traditionally impoverished area. The camp is a vital source of income and employment for the community and is a proud achievement for all.
The Shewula Mountain Camp straddles the 500 metre high Lubombo Mountains with stunning panoramic view of The Kingdom of Eswatini encompassing nearby Mbuluzi Game Reserve, Mla
wula Nature Reserve, and Hlane game park.The camp is 1 hour drive from The Indian Ocean beach of Ponta Du Ouro on a clear day you can see the white sandy beach coastline and 1hour 30min drive from the famous Kruger National Park.
Shewula Camp has comfortable eco rooms with an adventurous gastronomy journey into Swati traditional meals with a touch of spicy Mozambique. It is an experience ideal for low impact off-grid tourism ,cultural , families, nature lovers, and those simply looking for a getaway from the bustle of city life.
